I can describe this entire fight in one word: cheap. Firstly, Dark Riku gives you hardly any room for a counter with the dark explosives he sets that cover half the arena. He has four or five unblockable attacks if you count his basic attack where he teleports behind you as well as the red shockwaves that spawn when you actually have an opening to combo him. If airstepping weren't an option, then this fight wouldn't even be doable. And even that has to be timed right because the shadow thing's tracking capability can still hit you.

The dm isn't as bad as it looks, honestly. It's the wall splat mechanic that can get you destroyed as attack after attack after attack stunlocks you and you can hardly do anything about it.
