Part 1: Awakening & Destiny Islands

You guys really want me to do this so bad. Know that you won’t be seeing it every day. Why? Because I have other projects that I WANT to finish. When stuff like Octopath Traveler, Mega Man 11 & Spider-Man is done then you’ll see more.
But anyway, I welcome you all to Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded. It’s a remake of the original Kingdom Hearts Coded that was released for mobile phones in Japan. It was released in 2011 and it takes place after Kingdom Hearts 2 but before the events of Dream Drop Distance. It focuses on characters like Donald, Goofy, Mickey and Jiminy Cricket trying to figure out the mystery behind one of Jiminy’s journals with the words “Thank Namine”. But the journal houses more than just those words… it houses something that may hold the key to saving those who have been hurt.
It’s here they create a data version of Sora hoping to find the answers, all while having to contend with bugs and glitches that are found in the journal. The game plays a mix between Kingdom Hearts with bits of Birth By Sleep due to the command deck. Not only that but the way how you level up is different from others. You get experience like every other game but you earn a Level Up chip every time you level up. You need to use the Stat Matrix to level up Sora and his stats. In addition you can also find chips that boost your stats but they can also be useful to unlock skills such as Scan and Dodge Roll. Also you can change the difficulty at anytime. For the purpose of this, I’m doing it in Critical.
Not only that but areas you travel will have a different gimmick. Destiny Islands is pretty much the tutorial where you learn the ins and outs of the game. But there’ll also be System Sectors you need to travel into in order to restore areas of the world. Cleaning them out will let you acquire stuff you can use to level up Sora. Once you find the keyhole for the world, it’ll lead to a special area where you take on a boss at the end. In the case of Destiny Islands, you face against the Darkside in a 3-phase fight. Phase 1 is normal. Phase 2 requires you to destroy some enemy blocks so you can hit its head and Phase 3 is where you must destroy the block in the middle while avoiding it’s barrier of virus blocks. Completing it will have you be scored based on how good you performed. Star is the highest rating so if you want to reach that, you need to take them down hard and fast without suffering much damage.
Once that’s done we complete one entry but find another. The next area takes us to Traverse Town and it’ll happen in Part 2.
