King's Bounty was released in 1990 for Apple II, DOS, Macintosh, others, and came out in 1991 for the Amiga and Sega Genesis. It is essentially the first game in the acclaimed Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, being designed by the same man and company, and with a very similar theme. Seems magazines of the time didn't quite know what to make of it, appointing it to all kinds of strange genera's. It's at heart a strategy game with RPG elements thrown in. And it's a fantastic game. I fell in love with it, and this is my review.
