Kirby's Combos & Confirms without using Dair (v6.1.0)
I talk a lot of trash about Dair on Twitter for being a high risk, low reward option. It has uses in combo extensions, but a lot of people view it as Kirby's "best" combo starter. This video is to show that Kirby gets a lot more consistent followups out of other aerials while retaining similar, or even better, results.
This video showcases high percent kill confirms and combos, mid percent conversions, and low percent combos. DI is impossible for 95% of these conversions, as the opponent is not sent into tumble. If they are, DI is negligible and Kirby will get the visualized followup regardless.
Another benefit to using these aerials is spacing, as they are all much safer on shield and can be spaced to where even fast OoS options struggle to punish Kirby.
These conversions work on basically the entire cast, but extremes such as floatiness & fastfallers may make a combo longer or shorter. The big thing to note here if you're worried about character-specific conversions is the first two hits (aerial + tilt/grab). Then you can work from there.
