Okay, so this finally wraps up all of my 8mm tapes...as well as VHS, VHS-C, and Mini-DV tapes. All the ancient footage of my past that I could find you have now witnessed across 30 videos lol. Wow…what’s sad is that I probably have even MORE footage that’s hidden somewhere. If I find it, I’ll be posting it!

This last video contains “what’s left”. Basically, all the final scraps hidden on tapes - that otherwise mostly contain nothing or family stuff – I squeezed the bits in this finale of a video.
The first bit of footage was from a chewed up / mangled tape that I had to bring in for repairs. I guess it was filmed around the time my dad had bought a new video camera (back in the 90’s, after I broke the old one AND after it got stolen from our house. Yes, we were robbed many years ago). Steve and I were fascinated by the pixelated blur fader option it had. There is also a funny sketch Jesse made where Mac (my old cat) murders me.

After that is content from Miles’ old video camera (I guess I copied that content to a VHS tape, but never labelled the tape so I stumbled across this by chance). It had mostly stuff you guys already seen in previous videos but also some additional “Hilliker” content. Mr. Hilliker was an old High School teacher of ours. He was a really nice guy and not at all psycho…we just had fun making videos pretending that he was a closet nut bar.

After that is footage of my old house, where the majority of these old tapes were filmed. I recorded the house as it looked the day before my dad handed over ownership. He gutted the basement because it leaked pretty badly (always had, since we were kids) and patched it up before selling it. So, I show before and after clips to give you an idea of what rooms the videos were recorded in and how the house looked before it was gutted.

Then finally it’s some old random footage of our trailer up north. Jesse would come with me periodically and even there we made some goofy videos. I was super lanky and greasy back then. I just think it’s funny how in the middle of the trailer footage, I cut in some clips of “Prince of Persia” for the PC. So random.

Now that I’m FINALLY done with these tapes, what’s next? A MEGA TAPE of course! So, what I used to do, before the internet, was go through all of my 8mm tapes and transfer the best clips to a single VHS tape – thus labelling it the “MEGA TAPE”. A tape containing nothing but the best of the best – all the funniest stuff in one place. The purpose? So you wouldn’t have to dig around through multiple tapes to find all the funny stuff. That’s what I’ll work on next! Hey, it’s fun for me…

After that? No idea…maybe finally make a video game related video? Maybe? :\
