Nokia 5190 - Christmas Ad
24This is a random video, I tell ya. So, why am I posting ad old TV ad for an old Fido Nokia cell phone? Nostalgia.
Yup, once again I was filtering through some old VHS tapes (hence the jitteriness and graininess of the video) when I stumbled across this commercial.
I used to own this exact model of phone (my very first ever cell phone) and it was with Fido too, except mine was red. It's not at all like today's phones. It had one of those Gameboy like displays/screens (with a green hue) and nothing but text, no pictures. It was the most basic of phone you could possibly have.
This particular model was released in 1998 so I imagine this commercial was from around that time (at Christmas). This VHS tape actually had a recording of the movie Scrooge and this commercial played in between.
So enjoy this random nostalgic commercial from a time when things were so much simpler.
