25probably the highest possible melee damage in the game right now. soldier takes 150% to the butt, knife deals about 90 damage, 6x backstab.
krom deals about 150 damage, which is less than double the knife and at 3x backstab, so i think skoll has a higher damage ceiling. landing the leap attack backstab is challenging but not impossible.
i think the crossbow with 200 damage and 3x backstab would be higher. though, crossbow skill is nearly impossible to grind, which makes it hard to reach the damage ceiling.
