9The King of Fighters series celebrates its 31st anniversary and has had a series of re-releases to update its presentation, one of which is its fourteenth version, released nine years ago.
The King of Fighters had released 3D games as part of Maximum Impact on PlayStation 2, but this is the first in the main series, following the superb King of Fighters XIII, a true love letter to 2D animation.
That leap wasn't easy, and the title received several graphical patches until reaching its final version, adding new characters and stages, as well as improved textures and models for characters that didn't fully utilize the power of the PlayStation 4 generation.
