Blah fixed-screen shooter in which your main goal is the same on EVERY level save the bonus level: move your little green alien in his UFO northward and touch the tractor beam to your mothership-- and the mothership cannot be seen without the background from the arcade game present! I used to play this on MAME without the background and it's confusing as hell as to what's going on! To impede your progress enemy aliens and non-human obstacles try to kill your little alien by ramming it. You have a shield button and 100 units of life to it, so use it sparingly.. unless you play in MAME, which for some reason (at this time, anyway) always replenishes your shield energy 100% each time you reach the tractor beam! You have just enough life to almost always reach the tractor beam with the shield on from the get go if you move straight up. You can just about marathon the game this way! Anyway.. on occasion a fusion symbol will make its presence known-- shoot it to make it act as a "smart bomb" and destroy all enemies on the screen! The bonus round simply requires you to collect 4 items off 4 planetoids and return them to your ship one at a time. Meanwhile a comet streaks across the sky and leaves a star pattern that you can't move thorugh; if you take too long it will block the path back to your ship and the round will end. Also, on one rock a junkyard man will stop you and bitch at you about illegally taking stuff from his junkyard (presumably) and cost you precious time. But the main goal of the main game is always the same-- get to the tractor beam. Over and over and over. Pretty dull. Sequel: WACKO.
