KSP Improved Mechanical Logic Gates!
These are good improvements over the 1st
generation. They are more accurate, use less parts and are modular!
There are now 2 major problems with larger
machines.
1: When chaining together many gates, the OR-gates require
more and more weight to pull them down. This is already
becoming a problem in the XOR-gate. This can be improved by further
optimisations and strong input forces, but at some point a limit will be
reached. I do not know when that will be.
2: Part count quickly rises with many components and thus lag. there will
be a limit to how big a machine can get. Again, i do not know when that will
be. Uninstalling visual mods when it becomes too laggy will probably help.
Maybe KSP 2 will improve this?
