So, while I was engineering ideas for eve return vessels, I always got them working initially, but when adding crew and a ladder, the vessel would fall up short. I couldn't figure out why, until I realized it was actually the ladder itself causing too much drag - they might look small and insignificant, but on Eve any bit of drag hurts.
