Kung Fu Panda 4 | Chameleon Transforms Shot Process #shots
149This one was a doozy!!! When I heard about the Chameleon, all I wanted was to animate her. Luckily I was able to get one shot. But it was a tough one. Anyone who got a transformational shot knows the tedious time it took.
Luckily the supervisor of Chameleon, @oozthere was there with the awesome feedback. I had some reference for this one, but wanted to show the playblast version since there was a rumor going around that we used AI for this transformation, which is absolutely NOT true.
All animators hand keyed and sculpted each frame of animation on the chameleon transformation. So hope this settles that debate.
