LACK of Grifting in Metaphor ReFantazio!
45Metaphor ReFantazio is a great game despite its technical issues, and it's surprising that there aren't a lot of "grifting" in the game. That's because a lot of those anti-woke grifters or whatever you call them are usually talking about the "woke" western media. Also, it's because Metaphor doesn't really have anything "woke" in it.
"The game constantly hits themes around social inequality, racism, classism, mental health, etc." Well, yeah. They tackled all that stuff within the game in the context of the game, not in the context of the real world or in reference to the real world, like in Life is Strange 2 where they are literally facing the border walls, and the Hispanic main characters are tearing it down. I wish I was kidding.
I don't think Metaphor has that level of "woke," but I don't believe that it's because these anti-woke grifters "can't freaking read." Metaphor deals with plenty of social and political issues, but not to the level of Life is Strange 2's Hispanic protagonists tearing down the border walls.
