Lamborghini Revealed the Telemetry X concept at CES 2024
Automobili Lamborghini recently showcased Telemetry X, a cutting-edge 'track connectivity' technology, at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. This technology is set to enhance the driving experience in Lamborghini's future super sports cars. Stephan Winkelmann, the company's Chairman and CEO, highlighted that innovation is central to Lamborghini's vision. This was evidenced by their recent creations, the Revuelto and the Lanzador concept car. Telemetry X promises to transform driving into an all-encompassing experience.
Telemetry X builds on the digital advancements first seen in the 2020 Huracán STO. This Lamborghini model was the first to incorporate a telemetry system accessible through the Unica app. Developed in partnership with Accenture, Telemetry X integrates three key systems: the Real Time Remote Garage, the Biometric Data System, and the Digital Co-Pilot.
The Remote Garage, a web application powered by 5G, allows real-time access to video and performance data during track sessions. This enables drivers to receive immediate feedback and coaching, even from mentors located remotely, enhancing the overall track experience.
The Biometric Data System focuses on monitoring the driver's physiological data like heart rate and stress levels. This data aids in tailoring training programs and improving performance.
Lastly, the Digital Co-Pilot, an advanced voice assistant, works in conjunction with the other systems. It provides real-time feedback to the driver, analyzing vehicle and biometric data to offer advice on aspects like racing lines and braking points, thus optimizing track performance.
Overall, Telemetry X is set to revolutionize the way Lamborghini drivers interact with their vehicles, offering a more nuanced and data-driven approach to high-performance driving.
