Skoda Integrating ChatGPT Into Vehicles
8Starting from mid-2024, a new chatbot will be included with the latest infotainment systems in certain cars. This feature will be available in a few models like the Škoda Enyaq, the latest Škoda Superb and Kodiaq, and the revised Škoda Octavia. These models are built on the MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms.
The chatbot is powered by Cerence Chat Pro and will be part of the Laura voice assistant system. This addition means Laura will do more than just respond to standard voice commands. Users can ask it to manage the car's infotainment and navigation systems, adjust the air conditioning, and provide answers to general questions.
The AI behind this system is designed to keep learning and improving. Over time, it will be able to give more detailed answers to a broader range of questions. This feature is particularly useful during a drive. It offers an interactive experience, responding in a natural language, and providing specific information about the vehicle. All of this can be done without using your hands, which adds an extra layer of safety for both the driver and passengers.
