Langrisser M - Global Apex Arena S6 Placement Matches & Box Review
2I went 4-1 placing at the same previous Gold III rank, with a newly constructed box that I have been preparing since S5. This video contains a full recording of the 5 placement matches while my awesome guild mates were coaching me in discord. Their teachings were much appreciated! The last section of this video is my S6 Apex Box review.

2:22 1st Match B/P (going 2nd) - His Albedo, Licorice, Listell, Yusuke, Brenda v.s. my Liana, Ledin, Alustriel, Ilucia, Wiler. Opponent has a Yeless box, so I banned Landius. He also has very few healers.
7:07 1st Match Battle - I positioned both tanks in such a way that Ilucia will be the prioritized tank if both Ledin and Ilucia can guard a unit. The priority order is 1-2-3 in the top row, 8-7-4 in the middle row, and 9-6-5 in the bottom row. The reason is that Ilucia has Bloodpact and can mitigate Yusuke 3C's healing negation debuff. He sacrificed Lico to my Alustriel, who died to his FB-only no-Transform Yusuke. Then my tactical play with Ilucia chain hook and Ledin 3C sealed the deal.
24:00 2nd Match B/P (going 1st) - My Zerida, Liana, Ilucia, Sophia, Deedlit v.s. his Landius, Deedlit, Yusuke, Matthew, Rozenciel. Opponent did amazing bans, which you will see why soon...
29:02 2nd Match Battle - I forgot Ilucia does not guard magic yet. She will be able to guard magic with the new exclusive weapon coming in February. The opponent had a very good ban/pick strat, cornering me into Ilucia while picking Deedlit. I lost Zerida to Deedlit for free, and nothing will break his Landius guard. Instant GG. =(
45:50 3rd Match B/P (going 1st) - My Landius, Deedlit, Alustriel, Sophia, Ilucia vs his Ares, Leonhardt, Deedlit, Leon. The opponent has a rush box. I first ban Akaya, who has ATK/speed buff, teleport and act again. I also focused on banning Estelle to further mitigate the rush.
52:04 3rd Match Battle - I used the 2-tank priority trick again, to make sure Ilucia tank before Landius, so she can tank the physical load (for now until exclusive weapon) while landius tank the magical load, evening out the dmg received. Sophia is great to re-buffing everyone after Leonheart's AOE dispel. Note that when Ares 3C teleported my units around, Ilucia became within 2 range of Deedlit's Forest command aura. This removed Ilucia's water buff (and 2nd life), because Deedlit's Forest aura has priority over water buff. I forgot about this, but it didn't matter. Alternatively, we can bring Deedlit's 3C to avoid this issue. Deedlit vs Deedlit normal attack mirror favored me due to Cavalry tech (+ATK/DEF near allies, dmg up from MOV & dmg mitigation on attack).
1:10:02 4th Match B/P (going 2nd) - His Landius, Licorice, Bozel, Yusuke, Akaya v.s. my Deedlit, Landius, Rozenciel, Sophia, Old Landius.
1:15:07 4th Match Battle - He threw away Licorice for free to trade for my Deedlit. Rozenciel prevailed vs AOE debuffs.
1:32:47 5th Match B/P (going 2nd) - His Jugler, Alustriel, Young Jessica, Helena, Old Jessica v.s. my Rozenciel, Ledin, Deedlit, Old Landius, Sophia. Opponent has an extremely strange rush box. I let Rean and a few other AOE through after 2nd ban, so I 1st picked Rozenciel. Interestingly, he had no AOE other than Jugler 3C in the end. He aggressively 1st and 2nd banked 3 of my tanks, forcing me to 2nd pick Ledin. In retrospective, maybe I should've picked Landius. I missed the Young Jessica teleporting turret strat, which he went for.
1:38:02 5th Match Battle - I feel I am at a disadvantage v.s. long leg Alustriel, Helena, and a teleporting turret YJess. This was a very tactically intensive match! Make sure you watch this one. Ledin and Old Landius MVP! =) An interesting side note - I could've used Old Landius 3C to push Jugler into fog during late game, since Jugler 3C is forever on CD (beyond turn 12) and cannot jump back. Even if he has 3C off CD, I could technically position some units to block all the 3C landing positions (and this can be made even easier with GLF -MOV debuff).
