Many video game companies make many different types of games, but when it came to RPGs, no one seemed to have the Midas Touch than the king of them all, Squenix (Squaresoft/Square/Square Enix/what have you) and SaGa Frontier (from the Romancing SaGa series) is no exception! Sure, you get the length of a standard RPG from back in the day with just one playthrough, but have 7 different character playthroughs (8 now thanks to SaGa Frontier Remastered) and you've got one hell of a ride you'll be sitting through!
Anyway to cut a long story short, I've played this game on stream a total of 8 different times. Although if you wanted the full story experience, I believe you'll need to beat the game with the 7 original selectable characters with a free trip to the OG Dev. Room after the 7th playthrough and the missing/added 8th character 7 times for Fuse to follow each of the 7 beaten playthroughs and finally Fuse one last time for his own personal story.
We've been through a lot, haven't we? We saw a piece of scrap Mech take on a Regional destroying ship, two twin magicians in a magical duel to the death so one of them could defeat the Lord of Hell, a normal man turned superhero who fights to stop an evil crime syndicate, a fashion model who avenges the death of her fiancé at the hands of Joker (no, not from Batman sadly), a human girl turned half-mystic who ended up fighting against the Mystic Charm Lord, a monster who collected rings only to find a manipulator in the party using them for evil intentions AND a musical traveler who ends up fighting against his old man's best friend in an evil company.
So what exactly is the link between them all? In the original PS1 version, there wasn't any. But thanks to the Remasterd version, we have the answer to them all: they all involved crime case of some sorts and despite how he handles those situations, no one in Interpol (IRPO) is more qualified to tackle these cases than Fuse. Now you're SUPPOSED to do his chapter a total of 7 times (each time he's paired up with one of the other main 7 characters and their appropriate cases, which in this highlight features him and Lute), but for the sake of everyone's sanity, I stopped streaming after this point. But hey, at least we got to see the SaGa Frontier Remastered Developer's Room as well!
