It was a launch game that many were drawn to. Great graphics and martial arts? Surely, it had to be a winner!

Episode Notes:

1. Captured on the Mega SG.

2. The full Japanese name Hokuto no Ken: Shin Seikimatsu Kyuuseishu Densetsu translates to Fist of the North Star: Legend of the New Century Savior.

3. The full name of the Genesis release is actually Last Battle Legend of the Final Hero.

4. The opening monologue takes its music from the DS version of FotNS.

5. Ending monologue music is from the PS4 version of Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.

6. There were multiple ports of this game. The Amiga conversion was very similar and there was even one for the Commodore 64.

7. I can beat this game, but it's honestly not a good play. Without cheats, the game is just so incredibly shallow and not worth the effort. Unless of course nostalgia drives your interest.
