Testing Leap motion to know if it is stable and precise enough to incorporate it to a game. Virtual hands interacting with real objects - that is totally the opposite than you are used to seeing in VR demos :)

Btw. the test is not really conclusive to me:

+ you have fingers that move
+ you know and REALLY feel that those are your hands
+ quite precise on short ranges (arms half-extended and in front of face)
+ elbows track too, not only hands
+ quite fast tracking

- looses tracking all the time
- jittery on longer range (arms fully extended)
- looses finger tracking all the time becasue palm or other fingers occlude them
- overall very inconsistent. When you try to actually grab something in VR, hold, touch, interact - you feel like you have Parkinson's.

...so... maybe good for button pushing with index finger? Certainly not for grabbing or holding stuff (like a sword or a gun) in VR. And don't laugh, there is a world of difference when you push a button with your actual finger and not a controller with pointing hand model attached.
