In this video, Mahalo expert Justin Z. briefly explains how the Magic Eraser tool can be used to help you more quickly erase.

Magic Eraser Tool
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Magic Eraser is an automated tool that allows for quick erasing of large areas. It basically works in a similar fashion to the Magic Wand, but it immediately erases your selection instead of highlighting it.
1. Click on the Eraser button in the tool bar and hold to bring up the sub menu. Drag down to the Magic Eraser Tool. On the keyboard, you can press and hold Shift+E until the tool is selected.2. Simply click on an area of interest and it will instantly erase. This can come in handy if you have an area that is all one color, but for areas with different color grades, the tool can prove difficult and less practical. 3. To help with getting more specific, you have a few Options in the top panel.
* Tolerance will help determine how much of the selected area will be erased. The higher the tolerance the more that will be erased.
* The Anti-Alias button will affect the smoothness of your erase selection. When it is deselected, you erase option will be more jagged.
* Contiguous will help with selecting more specific areas.
* Sample All Layers will erase selections of your entire image rather than just one layer.
* Finally, Opacity will determine how transparent your erase selection will be.

Practically speaking, the tool will come in handy for erasing solid colors in an image, but otherwise it will prove difficult to use easily.
