Mahalo's Windows expert Sean Hewitt shows you everything you need to know about customizing the taskbar.

Customizing the Taskbar
---------------------------------------------------------------------

You can pin any shortcut to the Taskbar just by dragging the icon to it and pinning it there. Once the icon is there, you can arrange it by dragging and placing it where you want it.
Another feature of pinning items is the ability to select recent items in that program. By right-clicking on the item, you will activate a menu referred to as a Jump List. To remove a shortcut, right-click on it and select Unpin.
You can also alter the appearance of items on the Taskbar. For instance, you can make them smaller by right-clicking on the Taskbar, selecting Properties, checking Use small icons and hitting Apply.
If you'd like to automatically hide the Taskbar, select Auto-hide the taskbar and hit Apply. This feature will make your Taskbar invisible, but it will reappear if you move your mouse to the bottom of the screen.
Aero Peek allows you to preview your desktop while you have items open by making their windows transparent.

The Toolbar feature allows you to access more features from your Taskbar. For example, if you added an Address toolbar, you could type in web addresses from your toolbar and direct yourself to a web page faster.

To add a toolbar, right-click on the Taskbar, select Toolbar and choose which toolbar you'd like to add.
