Learning how to cheat with Getian (R1999 Roguelike, Difficulty 15)
I decided to turn the Forbidden Getian Knowledge (TM) into a full run. In case you didn't know, Getian's Channel gives its user Eureka. His Rank 3 Channel gives 5 Eureka and wouldn't you know it, there's a character who happens to use her Follow Up Attack whenever she hits 5 Eureka.
You can combine this tech with other Eureka focused characters too but I think the Math Cultists benefit the most. Thirty Seven is obvious but Six can also max out his Eureka to grant his Empower Incantation buff every turn. He can also use the tech to quickly power up his Ultimate, but this video isn't about him.
I had to change over to the Arcane Lantern Catalyst. This is because Insightful Aid only refunds Stamina if you kill with an Aid Incantation, but Getian's Channel doesn't kill enemies, it's the FUA that kills. So I went with a different Catalyst that still let me spawn Rank 3 Incantations and simply built up and saved all my Stamina for this Razor fight.
It's a bummer I wasn't able to get more artefacts to power up Thirty Seven's FUA but sometimes you just have to deal with the bad artefact RNG.
I don't have a whole lot else to say about this run. I guess Voyager + Aid Jiu is an interesting combo? If you use Jiu's Channel as Voyager, you're basically getting 3 of the 4 actions needed to activate Voyager's Seal / Silence passive. You can technically get more actions with Voyager as other characters too (e.g. Aid Lilya, Aid NewBabel, probably Aid Isolde).
BTW I'm gonna take a short break from Reverse 1999's Roguelike mode. I was hoping to do some Roguelike runs with Joe in the new patch but they reversed the banner order and Mercuria looks pretty straightforward / uninteresting to run in the Roguelike.
