It's time to try Interloper. Why? I have 500 hours in The Long Dark, I beat As the Dead Sleep comparatively smoothly, and my current Stalker run is at 250 days and counting. It's a big shout for someone who only started playing Stalker back in November, but it feels like I owe it to myself to take the step up and try the game at its hardest (base) difficulty.

Today, we charge into HRV like a stereotypical single male going shopping. We know what we want, we know where to find it, we go get it with maximum efficiency, and we leave. No faffing about, no meandering, no window shopping ... or at least that was the plan. TLD and HRV had other ideas. It ended up taking longer than expected, but we did find the right memento cache, locate the (100 percent!) cured bear hide, hit the Signal Fire on our way out, and even reach Cooking 5. After a day of crafting following our return to Milton, we have ourselves a bearskin bedroll. Wandering the frozen wastes of Great Bear just got a little bit cozier.
