Remember those precious teenage years? Hanging out with your friends, whiling away the hours at school, traversing wormholes, etc. No? Not even on an alternate timeline? Hmm. That's what we're dealing with here in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist by Northway Games. Our character, Solcampbell, is born on the space ship traveling to found Earth's first exocolony, using a conveniently located wormhole just on the edge of our solar system. The game covers our life from age 10 to 20, involving going to school and/or work, making friends, helping the colony, and trying to survive on a planet that isn't particularly welcoming to humans.

Curiouser and curiouser this becomes. This stream involves learning a lot about both ourselves and our new home. Delving into the Western Wresting Ridges and Subaqueous Swamps brings us face-to-face with the beings that run Vertumna -- the Gardeners. Specifically, we meet one particular Gardener who is VERY interested in humankind (see: thumbnail). We also meet another who is ... well, interested in humans from a very different perspective. Starting to date our dog boy BFF Rex would've been the highlight of our 17th year if not for one other development -- the emergence of a revolutionary strain among some of our cohort.
