It's time to try Interloper. Why? I have 500 hours in The Long Dark, I beat As the Dead Sleep comparatively smoothly, and my current Stalker run is at 250 days and counting. It's a big shout for someone who only started playing Stalker back in November, but it feels like I owe it to myself to take the step up and try the game at its hardest (base) difficulty.

So long, Milton! Astrid has sampled all your delights (and then some), so now it's time to climb the hightest heights and head to the Summit! First, though, she crafts a rabbitskin hat to eke out a few more degrees of warmth in a steadily freezing world. Then comes the trek through Mystery Lake and Pleasant Valley before returning to Timberwolf Mountain, where this run began. The loot at the Summit isn't exactly plentiful, but what we did find made it worth the trip -- a stim, an ear wrap, a heavy hammer, a good amount of food, and THREE flare shells.
