Legend of Zelda [NES] Playthrough #19, Quest 2, Level 7
This is video #19 in my playthrough of the Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System. We are currently in the Second Quest. Link has located the entrance to Level 7 by burning down a tree in the southeast woods. Because of the screen's layout, the tree must be burned down from the other side.
Level 7 is in the shape of a spiral or a coiled snake. It has plenty of Darkunts and Blue and Red Bubbles.
In a northwest room, after killing off Darknuts and Pols Voices, Link can open a secret basement containing the Red Candle (time 2:36).
In the southeast, a Manhandla constitutes the first mini boss (time 3:45).
Another mini boss is a Blue Gohma in the middle of the eastern corridor (time 6:05).
In the central area of the dungeon, there is another toll man (time 7:21). Again, it is advisable to fork over 50 Rupees rather than give up a Heart Container.
In the northern part of the dungeon, Link finds the dungeon boss, a four-headed Gleeok (time 9:28). It leaves behind a Heart Container when defeated.
In the next room, Link finds the seventh piece of the Triforce of Wisdom. Just one to go!
Before heading to Level 8, Link returns to the secret shop in the northeast of Hyrule to buy some more Bait for 80 Rupees (time 13:28).
The entrance to Level 8 can be found two screens west of Level 4 (time 14:49). The level entrance can be opened by bombing the rock wall on the north side of the river.
Thanks for watching!
