This is an effect I wanted to achieve when I was in charge of the particle effects of "The Market of Light" (Historia 2021) tech demo for UE 5.0, but couldn't make it work properly because I still wasn't that familiar with Niagara and there was no Niagara Debugger back then, which made it painfully difficult to check the output values of each Niagara node/function.

Most notably the screen UV needs to be undone by view buffer size, so that I can correctly map the actor position on the screen space.

Even though there are already many UE blueprints of lens flare available, I feel that doing it in Niagara gives me more and better control of the components of the flare like ray and bokeh.

The attempt shown in this video is far from perfect. I may upload another lens flare video when things get much more polished.
