1Time to check the Demo of "Affogato", a JRPG with unique gameplay and premise.
You play as a sorceress managing a café in Arorua, a city full of human animal hybrids and other interesting characters.
The game has an anime aesthetic, with cute chibi style characters when roaming around, or on the tower defense sections and detailed characters on the dialogs and other visual novel parts.
The music of the game is also pretty good, creating a nice chill atmosphere while playing it. It lacks some voice acting though.
The gameplay is split into two different sections. On one hand you have to manage the coffee shop, meet customers, talk to them to progress their story. On other hand you have to delve into the minds of the customers and other cursed people to defeat their inner demons and help them with their problems. When you are into their mind, the game transforms into a tactical "Reverse Tower defense" game.
The gameplay loop, with the time management, the visual novel style interactions and the work you do to change peoples minds, remind me a bit of the Persona games, especially Persona 5.
Overall an interesting chill game, with cute artstyle, good music that can be fun for fans of anime style games.
