So, up to now, I've been fighting on the idea that a short burst of full guns is the best idea. I don't know exactly why I switched over toward to firing one set of guns, but it is a lot more effective than expected. The neutron guns are a bit disappointingly slow, but the mass drivers allow for quick firing and sustained fire. In fact, I wonder if part of the slow fire rate on full guns is waiting for neutron guns to be ready.
