Omnitron is the last of the 4 starter villains (Gloomweaver is from an expansion) and they is sort of the equivalent of Ultron, Brainiac, Skynet, and Mechanon. Apparently in the canon, Omnitron first appears as a single robot, pretty much the same way a lot of of evil AIs do, but the form we see them in for the card game is as the hoard of rampaging robots seeking to overrun everything. The big thing about the mechanics in this is that Omnitron gets lots of card plays in different ways based on which side they're flipped to and they flip every round. All of the robots and devices are very dangerous and have to be dealt with or they will overrun you.

Also, Omnitron might be one of the villains that's actually harder with larger team size. His variant is definitely that way, but that's a lot further down the line.
