Let's Patrol - Sentinels of the Multiverse - Part 3 - Gloom Denied
One of the things that ranks Gloomweaver as one of the easier to defeat villains is that you actually have two ways to defeat him. If you put all his relics in his trash, he loses. If you reduce his health to 0, then he loses. By contrast, he has only one way to defeat you.
That said, it is a mistake to consider him a sure thing. If you keep his zombies and cultists under control, you can focus your attention on him and things get pretty easy. But the voodoo doll pins and the relics make things a lot harder.
As with Baron Blade, he keeps putting up stuff to distract you from the business of dropping his health. Unlike Baron Blade, those things tend to be harder to get rid of and cause more problematic issues than just damage. Also unlike Baron Blade and Warlord Voss, he doesn't have two failure conditions for the heroes.
I tend to assume the high health on the relics is the difficulty involved in tracking down where they are and who has them so that the heroes can lock them down and stop the rituals.
Of course, I cheated, I brought my own wizards. And one of them is an immortal punch-wizard who saps the enemy's power.
