Let's Play 7th Fantasy (Lulu) Ep. 12: The Southeastern Seaboard
After leaving Patrof free and happy once again, our two mages set off for the town of Bone to the northeast. Finding Bone can be a little tricky, because if you take a wrong turn you end up at the Tower of Grime instead. The way to avoid this is to HUG the coastline until it starts pointing consistently northward. Then you must actually turn WEST to find Bone, because it's some distance inland. DO NOT attempt to fight enemies in the cave unless your levels are decently high, as in 19 or 20.
In this episode I decided to show off an apprentice fight against Cid, since the Patrof sequence gave me nothing but a bunch of Banons each time (THREE times in a row now, after I had to get the Cid/Ifrit game file back up to where it was before my little mishap!). Why I couldn't ever get Valsu to show up at Patrof all the times I played the game when young, I don't know.
WARNING: By now you're getting to the point in the game where talking to an apprentice in a town can often trigger an automatic fight. This is why I was careful to make an emulator save state beforehand! If you're not using an emulator to play 7th Saga, it's critical to rest and save at the Inn before ANY apprentice encounters.
WEAKNESSES: Cocoons are weak to both Fire and Ice magic in 7th Fantasy.
