Akte Europa is a real-time strategy games developed by Virtual X-citement Software Entertainment. It was first published in October 1997 by Eidos Interactive. A sequel to Colony Wars 2492, the game was only ever released in Europe's German speaking region.

The game takes place after the conclusion of the war on the resource moon Ansgar-15. In 2492, humanity is united under the banner of the United Nations. Unwilling to finance their UN's space programme, Europe leaves the organisation and focusses on the development of its defensive superweapon, the ODIN light shield. Among rising tensions, war eventually breaks out between the UN and Europe.

In Akte Europa, the player takes the role of a UN commander tasked with raids on European targets, and eventually the conquest of the continent. The game only has limited base building; most structures are pre-placed on the map and can be conquered.

Bases produce units, maintain them, and are used to conduct research, factories deliver vehicle parts, and mines supply the factories. As in Colony Wars 2492, vehicles are constructed from three parts: a weapon, a chassis, and a special part. All parts can be upgraded over the course of the campaign.

Furthermore, units can be promoted up to seven times by destroying enemy units. Between three and five units can be transferred between missions, and later missions rely on the player having a team of elite tanks. Money is likewise transferred and can be used to research new weapons, upgrade existing ones, and buy units from supply and trade centres.

Akte Europa features full motion video cutscenes that tell the story of three West Point graduates who investigate ODIN and struggle with the fallout of the war. An English-language release of the game was planned, but never manifested.

Akte Europa received largely positive reviews. Contemporary magazines praised the game's unconventional approach, detail, and support for high resolutions, but criticised the controls and mixed quality of the cutscenes.
