Let's Play Aladdin Sega Genesis - Part 6 - Inside The Lamp & Sultan's Palace
Let's Play Aladdin Sega Genesis Part 6! We go inside the lamp with Genie! It's a very bizarre experience.... but the the "Friend Like Me" music makes it all worth while. Then we head to the Sultan's Palace for another really odd level. Rug riding all around hacking at various Iago's and people stuffing their faces and losing their pants. Top it all off with an apple battle against Iago running some kind of contraption. This game certainly took a weird turn...
Aladdin for Sega is made by Virgin Games, not to be confused by Aladdin for Snes, made by Capcom. They're both pretty good Aladdin games. I think I like the Snes Aladdin a little more than the Sega Aladdin, but that's the one I played as a kid.
The cool thing about the Sega game is that it has the Aladdin songs playing in the background of the levels. Price Ali, Arabian Nights, One Jump, Never Had A Friend Like Me.... it all makes for some fun sing along moments!
In the Virgin Games Aladdin, you have a sword and throw apples. In the Capcom Aladdin Game, You do parkour and throw apples. I find the Sega game easier, at least early on. I think the Capcom game has a higher learning curve. Both fun though!
One thing 16-bit Aladdin games have in common, is that Aladdin's Lava level in the cave of wonders is a bitch.
Regardless, I will stop rambling now. Enjoy Aladdin Episode 1 featuring Mack, Lindsey and Max!
