Let's play Arc The Lad, a game that was released on the Playstation (and available via the Playstation Store on PS3 as a PSone Classic). It's a Tactical RPG that came out at the beginning of the PSX era in Japan, but got translated pretty late in English thanks to Working Designs. The version Working Designs released had the full 3 games of the PSX version of the franchise, including the extra Monster Tournament game. At the time I did this video, I actually finished the game, hence all the extra explanation of the gameplay. I can't wait to get started on Arc The Lad II, which I have a big place in my heart for, as I played it in Japanese at the time, but we will get to this on its own preview.
Overall I would say Arc The Lad as a game looks like a prologue for a bigger game and I was somewhat underwhelmed by its lack of story or character development. The battle system is simple and somewhat fun, and I liked playing it for the battles.
