Jerrick and Finn have had many disagreements in the short time they've known each other, but the leader of the wolves is right about one thing: Finn can either give up and let the machines get him or fight for what's left of their world, the animals that lived in it. They've been taken to a large building and if we can get the gondala Jerrick is trapped in to go there, we have a shot at freeing them and fleeing to a place where the machines might not be able to get them... maybe. This presumes too the place they get to can sustain them which looks very, very unlikely, but we have to try.

Alternatively, we can decide to venture into the destroyed city nearby and try to locate the horrible think Jerrick came across that he believes is in control of all the machines. If we can do what he could not and defeat it, the machines will hopefully stop functioning or at the very least he vulnerable without their leader. It's a long shot and an exceptionally dangerous one but what choice do we have but to condemn ourselves to a miserable, pitiful and potentially brief existance?

...Boy, this gaem got grim really quickly. I know it foreshadowed this slowly throughout the game buy man, the plot cranked it up to seventy two without skipping a beat.
