Let's Play Binding of Isaac Rebirth Gameplay - Episode 68 - The Purist
So fresh, so clean (so fresh and so clean, clean)! Today's challenge is Challenge #20 in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, The Purist! We start the challenge with NO items, not even our precious D6! We'll need to rely on boss items, devil deals, curse rooms, and mob/boss trap rooms to make our way to killing It Lives on the Womb or Utero II!

Challenges in the Binding of Isaac game series have been around since the expansion to the original Binding of Isaac game entitled The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb. When the game was expanded with new content in the May 28th, 2012 release, players saw the addition of ten unique challenges, each with different starting items and restrictions on gameplay. Successful completion of the challenge unlocks new items, trinkets, or (in Rebirth) runes and cards which can then be found and picked up in the game proper.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth doubles the original content with a total of 20 unique challenges for the player to complete. Nearly all of the challenges (except for #1 and #10) carry the restriction of no Treasure Rooms, forcing the player to rely on skillful use of the provided starting items and achieving Deals with the Devil in Devil Rooms or free items from Angel Rooms. These opportunities are most commonly achieved by not taking red heart damage on a floor, but as any veteran Isaac player will tell you, there are many ways to achieve many different things in this procedurally generated, RNG-filled game!
