0Shay travels to Meriloft where he sees F'ther trying to get Harm'ny Lightbeard down, but he's too scared to climb the ladder due to a fear of heights. That's kind of surprising seeing he that he lives in the clouds and all. Shay climbs the ladder only to weigh down Lightbeard's cloud and reveal that the whole thing is held together by some rope tied in a special knot. Here, we're introduced to one of the two most infamous puzzles in the game, but don't worry, I'm here to help. The knot puzzle is randomized every playthrough from the starting knot to the untying solution diagrams you get from knot specialist Car'l. The hardest part is accurately describing the starting knot. If you get it wrong, the knot changes to a different one when you describe the solutions, which is the easier part. After some trial and error, you're bound to get a knot you can easily describe. It's not too terribly difficult. I managed to get it on the second try. Once the knot is untied, the cloud reveals that Lightbeard is a fraud. All this time, his "cloud" was on top of what appears to be a hypergravity thruster keeping him in the air while he also hoarded junk to weigh down the thruster's push. F'ther gladly delivers the thruster to Alex's ship then goes back to Meriloft to punish Lightbeard for deceiving him and everyone else in Meriloft.
