Let's Play Buck Rogers CTD 7 - Detailing Our New "Wheels"
Recorded with BB Flashback Pro.
Game published 1990 by SSI (Never re-released on CD-ROM; presumed abandonware).
At least, we'll be able to claim this derelict RAM spaceship as our new "wheels" once we finish "detailing" it by getting rid of all the ECGs! We carry the argon canisters to the environmental controls and hook them up; however, one of the Stage 3 ECGs (humanoid in appearance) on another level reverses the gas flow through the ventilation system. We rush back down to engineering, where Scotty connects the manual override just in time. Most of the ECGs are now gone; however, 2 of the Stage 3s have started the self-destruct countdown from the control room. We race up to the control room, take out one of the Stage 3 ECGs, abort the self-destruct countdown, and charge a second Stage 3, driving him backwards into an escape pod. The demo charge with which the Stage 3 had planned to blow up the control room goes off in the escape pod instead, and the ship is now ours! (Well, NEO's, technically speaking.) For our next assignment, we're ordered to take this spaceship to its next previously-scheduled destination, and investigate RAM operations on Ceres.
(Somehow, NEO never gets around to reassigning this spaceship to anyone else for the rest of the game, so it's effectively ours, anyway. And the robots? Presumably, we must have taken out the ship's entire robot complement in those few robot battles we had - they certainly wouldn't have been crippled by the argon gas!)
