Let's Play Chrono Trigger Part 30 - Into The Sunken Desert
1With one final side quest to go we head into the Sunken Desert to eliminate the monsters found within so Fiona can turn the desert into something a little more...non-deserty. For the most part this is a kind of short and easy side quest, easier than I originally thought with the only trouble spot being the boss.
It's also worth noting, and I do point this out in the video, that this side quest contains a mini-game that is not required to successfully complete to finish the game and the only thing it changes is a scene at the very end. You get the GreenDream from Robo regardless. However, my first attempt at the mini-game went sour and since I had saved at Fiona's Shrine after finishing the desert, I just reloaded that save and tried again as I wanted to show what happened when you successfully complete the mini-game.
