Welcome back, everybody, to Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for one last post-credits bonus video. In this episode, we explore the unlockable "Magician Mode" which you get access to after beating the game normally, and which lets you access every DSS spell from the beginning at the cost of permanently lowered stats. Since the rarer DSS cards are extremely difficult to acquire in a normal playthrough, this is a very welcome bonus that gives average players a chance to see some of the wilder card combinations, and we'll be exploring quite a few of them here.

For those of you who are curious, beating the game on Magician Mode eventually leads to several other alternative modes in Circle of the Moon, including Fighter Mode (which removes DSS entirely but gives you doubled attack, defense and HP), Shooter Mode (which increases the power of subweapons but cuts your normal attack and defense), and Thief Mode (which gives you god-awful starting stats except for luck, which is insanely high). If you can stomach this game enough to get through multiple playthroughs, these modes are a really fun way to keep the experience fresh.
