Battering Rams... Are... Awesome!

So Attila has two special units that are both early era. Unlike most early era special units, these ones can be rather useful. The mounted archer is a more mobile and slightly stronger archer that does not require Horses. The other, the battering ram, is perhaps the first ever melee siege unit.

The battering ram replaces the spearman and upgrades into a trebuchet. It can only attack cities and has +300% attack when doing so. This not only makes them do insane damage to cities in the early turns of the game, the boost in attack makes it so the return fire from the city does little damage.

Like most siege weapons, this one is especially vulnerable to attack as it cannot fight units at all. They have no terrain defense bonuses and suffer -33% when attacked. They do get +33% against range but that only negates the penalty they are already suffering.

For those crying foul on how powerful these things can be, its easy to counter. Just put two warriors nearby to block the ram from getting close. Hit it with your warriors while your city bombards it. Unfortunately the AI is not bright enough to prepare for rams ahead of time.
