Classic games in this sense are, pretty much whatever I consider a classic, usually old and becoming somewhat obscure but trend-setting games.

In Japan, Dragon Warrior is known as Dragon Quest, and it in fact overshadows Final Fantasy in terms of popularity as a series. This is somewhat the opposite of the USA where Final Fantasy is more popular. This is the first Dragon Warrior game ever released as far as I know for the NES. It is a trendsetting game in that it establishes many of the hallmarks of the (J)RPG genre.

This video features the discovery of Erdrick's Tablet in a cave near Tantegel Castle, which explains some important aspects of defeating the Dragonlord. We travel to the town of Garinham where we discover better equipment, of course. Then we level up some south of Garinham so we can afford to buy that Hand Axe. I end this video on level 7.
