This is the fourth of a series of doing Let's Plays on "classic games." Classic games in this sense are, pretty much whatever I consider a classic, usually old and becoming somewhat obscure but trend setting games.

In Japan, Dragon Warrior is known as Dragon Quest, and it in fact overshadows Final Fantasy in terms of popularity as a series. This is somewhat the opposite of the USA where Final Fantasy is more popular. This is the first Dragon Warrior game ever released as far as I know for the NES. It is a trendsetting game in that it establishes many of the hallmarks of the (J)RPG genre.

This video features the marsh cave south of Garinham, I acquire the Fighter's Ring and battle some new monsters. I go back to the cave to fully explore and level up, but unfortunately, I miscalculate and die. Luckily, I am revived with half my gold at Tantegel Castle.
