Let's Play Coffee Talk Ep. 2: H & B Part 2: Game Development Woes
(I should have mentioned this in the description of the first episode, but I didn't get around to it until now, but for those who are curious as to what H & B stands for in the title, it's standing for "Hibiscus and Butterfly", which is a part of the game's title. The reason I typed it as such is because I wanted to have enough room for coming up with the name for a title of the episode while staying within YouTube's current "100-word limit" for titles of videos.)
Aqua seems quite excited about being approached by her favorite publisher and having the game she had been working on being considered, but little does she know that game development and getting the game published is far from easy.
While game development may be fun to an extent, you have to remember that there's still a lot of work and pressure involved in it whether it is trying to meet deadlines set by the executives of a company that does the development, publishing or distribution of the project or the expectations of a fanbase.
Unless you're very good at getting something done within a set timeframe, the development of a game or another project will take a lot of time to be worked on before it is released to the public eye.
When we're young, we often expect something to be ready at a specific point in time. But as we get older and we either learn about the process of making a project whether it is a movie, video game, tv show, anime or literature by experiencing it ourselves or learn about it through watching someone else talk about it through a more critical eye, you kind of feel sorry for those who wanted to do more with a project, but had no choice but to release it in what feels like an unfinished state.
Point is, game development can be fun, but it can also be very difficult given the circumstances and expectations.
