The US troops are poised to use the route nationale that pave their way into the objective town of Carentan, but there is some unfinished business with the concrete bunker that houses a mean 75mm field gun. Congregating all the firepower that can be mustered, overcoming the impregnable obstacle is first of long list of tasks that lie ahead in order to secure the road and enter the town that ever looms closer. The Germans are set up in layers of defences to dissuade us from ever setting foot within a bullet's striking distance of this critical objective, but are they wise up to the troops on the right, who sneak their way under the cover of the bocage and toward the railway?
