Let's Play CountryCide Ep.2 Dark Things Stir Beneath (Final)
On the second and final episode of Let's Play CountryCide, the Templar has faced off against nightmarish creatures within the farmstead and has all the evidence he needs to report this heresy to the Caliphate. Now, we need to find a way to escape, since we can't go back up the ravine we entered from. With the yellow key from the house, we head North and find another door leading underground. This leads us to a maze of ancient tunnels that interconnect with cavernous man-made chambers. Clearly, there's was dark and ancient culture entirely hidden (or removed) from the Caliphate's historical records. Lost and stumbling through the cultist infested catacombs, the Templar comes across the spirit of a child. The child offers to guide us out of that dark expanse, and we follow a trail of glowing mushrooms back to the surface. We emerge back into the forest, but it's clear the cultists aren't willing to let us leave when a horde of them leap down from the treetops. And then, in the darkest part of the woods, more nightmares emerge. Bringing them down with righteous fury and even more buckshot, we finally reach the road where Shade is waiting. The Templar escapes to warn the Exousian Caliphate, but this trip to the Countrycide was only the beginning...war is coming.
