0On the first episode of Let's Play CountryCide, a Templar of the Exousian Caliphate journeys to the woods of Slakartvia on the urging of dark dreams and a mysterious voice. He doesn't know what he's looking for, but a chance encounter with a dying old man on the road leads him to a farmstead in the woods. It quickly becomes apparent that something foul is at work in this place, with dark effigies scattered around and darker whispers in the brush. Grabbing a single-shot trenchgun, we head deeper and reach the clearing where the homestead waits. Here it becomes even more apparent that dark forces are at work, with flayed skins inscribed with blasphemous symbols proudly displayed next to market stalls. The place is otherwise abandoned, and a key from the building seems to lead us back the way we came. Within the woods, the Templar is attacked by masked cultists, before heading into an old underground tomb full of heretical things. But it's not until we return to the house to explore further that we get a true taste of the dark forces stirring in the land of Slakartvia...
