Let's Play Crash Bandicoot Warped - Part 22: Super Secret Tech
It's time to tie up the last remaining loose ends for Crash Bandicoot 3, which in this case means completing the two hidden levels: level 31, Hot Coco, and level 32, Eggipus Rex. Hot Coco is another jet-ski one, and it is much more open and MUCH harder to find your way around than the other three (I wasted a lot of time on this one just getting lost). Eggipus Rex is a short, simple, sidescrolling prehistoric level with the baby T-rex. We get both the gems and Relics for them.
This marks the end of this project. (I could technically go back and get all gold Relics, but quite frankly, screw that crap.) Crash 3 is pretty okay, but I do feel like it added a few too many gimmicks and too much fluff to a formula that was working just fine. In particular, though I know I've said it many times before, most of the vehicle levels just felt unnecessary and usually annoying, especially when trying to go for gems or Relics, and like they were taking up space that could have gone to regular platforming levels. The controls for the underwater levels could probably use some work as well, and the parts where you have to backtrack to get all the boxes are as irritating as ever. Still, though, the standard jump-and-run stages were generally pretty decent, the theme of warping through time and space and visiting a bunch of was kind of interesting, and I think this game does have better boss battles then either of the first two overall. Any way you look at it, we're finished here. See you next game!
