I decided to spend some quality time tonight with Dance Summit 2001 Bust A Move. It's the Bust A Move (Bust A Groove in the States) game that never made it overseas. It's a pretty good one, but very confusing.

I kind of bullshit my way through explaining the mechanics because 1) they're confusing and 2) it turns out I don't have much time between each level to talk about it!! Anyway, hopefully it's easy to follow after a stage or two.

Basically, the game follows the Parappa the Rapper school of simon says: the game shows you a line and you copy it. The more accurate you are, the more you fill up your gauge/the more points you get. When you see a Free space, you can hit any of the face buttons and give points to those characters, and if more than one character is mapped to that button at the time, you can launch into a combo featuring them (pairs, tag combos, trio combos, quartets).

Anyway this is a bomb-ass game and there aren't many videos of it on Youtube, and these turned out really nice and high quality! Please enjoy :^)
